The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns scores with a kick to the body.

Burns moves into the clinch.

Burns breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hopkins definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Burns tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sam Burns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burns tries to land a body kick
and Hopkins makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Hopkins scores with the left hand. Burns knows he should have avoided that one.

Burns is rocked!

It looks like Sam Burns has been cut.
Burns throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hopkins counters with a big left hand that crumples Burns! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!

After the fight, Quinn Hopkins was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
