Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pekka Pera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jan Kriel!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pera thuds a left hand into Kriel's body.
Pera ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kriel moves away.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kriel.
Pera lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kriel bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kriel tries a quick counter leg kick but Pera is wise to it.
Kriel cracks Pera with a good jab.


It looks like Pekka Pera has been cut.
Kriel is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pera.
Pera feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kriel's calf.

Pera throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kriel tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pera is in Kriel's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kriel is pulling down on Pera's head. It's preventing any offense from Pera, at least for the moment.

and Kriel connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Pera is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kriel can do to turn this around?

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pera turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Pera manages to end up in side control.
