PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve Austin (ranked 2695 p4p, 310 weight class) and Pit Canthropus Jr (ranked 3786 p4p, 389 weight class). Canthropus Jr has chosen Austin Powers - Daddy Wasn't There as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Pit Canthropus Jr is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Austin drives through with a takedown into guard.

Canthropus Jr is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Austin is controlling him.

Canthropus Jr has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Austin is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Austin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Canthropus Jr sprawls well. Canthropus Jr wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Austin gets slowly back to his feet.

Austin seems to have got his legs back now.

Canthropus Jr feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Austins jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Austin shoots in looking for a takedown but Canthropus Jr manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Austin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Austin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Austin crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Canthropus Jr - the referee stops the clock and Austin gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Canthropus Jr. Austin manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Austin sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Canthropus Jr, as that shot connected.
Canthropus Jr throws a head kick that Austin semi-blocks.
Canthropus Jr's corner calls for a 1-2. Canthropus Jr obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

BOOM! Canthropus Jr lands a beautiful left hook that drops Austin. Austin tries to recover but Canthropus Jr is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Austin lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
