Beerhands kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Drinkin'. Gonzalez has chosen Summer On Lock by Royce Da 5'9 as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Edward Beerhands!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Scotty Gonzalez!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beerhands throws a hook but Gonzalez blocks it.
Despite the aggression on Gonzalez's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Gonzalez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Beerhands throws out the jab.

Beerhands gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Beerhands throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Gonzalez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gonzalez closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Gonzalez on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Beerhands just misses with a punch to the body.
Gonzalez ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gonzalez looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Edward Beerhands seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beerhands looks to clinch
and Gonzalez counters with a left and a right that stings Beerhands.
Beerhands scores with a sloppy right hand. Gonzalez should have avoided that one.
Beerhands throws a lazy uppercut
and Gonzalez counters with a straight right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gonzalez throws a right hand that Beerhands ducks under and follows up with a left that Beerhands also avoids with ease.
Gonzalez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Beerhands.
Donk. Beerhands catches Gonzalez right on the button with a cross.
Gonzalez takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Beerhands looks to score with a jab to the body but Gonzalez is just out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Gonzalez! But no joy.
Gonzalez throws a right and a left that Beerhands avoids nicely.
Beerhands throws a lazy right hand but Gonzalez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Beerhands is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Beerhands throws a poor cross that misses
and Gonzalez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Gonzalez throws a combination that misses

and Beerhands moves into the clinch.
Gonzalez wants to break free but Beerhands has control.

Beerhands gets control of Gonzalez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Beerhands will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Beerhands has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Gonzalez doesn't defend quickly enough and Beerhands has managed to lock this one up! Can Gonzalez escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Beerhands on a fantastic submission victory.
