Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kassius Halo (ranked 342 p4p, 47 weight class) and Henri Lafitte (ranked 3233 p4p, 420 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halo thuds a left hand into Lafitte's body.

Halo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lafitte.

Halo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Lafitte wants to control but Halo postures up.

Halo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lafitte knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

We've been hearing that Halo has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

The referee asks Lafitte politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Lafitte prefers to stall for the moment though.

The fighters circle momentarily. Halo darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
