Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rip Snorten (ranked 2622 p4p, 275 weight class) and Brian Hardy (ranked 2295 p4p, 245 weight class). Snorten comes to the cage accompanied by Sound of Silence. Brian Hardy will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Snorten catches Hardy right on the button with a cross.
Snorten lands a glancing blow to the side of Hardy's head.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hardy has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Snorten drops his hands momentarily and Hardy takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Hardy closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Snorten manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hardy manages to get himself to full guard.
