Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joey Bream (ranked 4517 p4p, 439 weight class) and Arturo Berchales (ranked 7849 p4p, 539 weight class). Arturo Berchales will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berchales fails to land with a series of punches.

Bream takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Bream shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Berchales's guard.

Bream drops back, looking for a kneebar! Berchales looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Berchales looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Berchales!

Bream parries the strikes from Berchales easily there. Berchales is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bream to escape.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Berchales accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bream is trying to control the position but Berchales postures up.
Berchales postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bream is breathing heavily.

Bream isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Berchales stacks Bream on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Berchales!
Berchales tries to score with some ground and pound. Bream controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Berchales in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Bream looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Berchales turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
