And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 24 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Kelvin Pouncey!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pouncey lands a really nice looking cross but Kemp seems unphased.
Kemp moves away from the strike by Pouncey.
Kemp scores with a leg kick.
Pouncey throws a lazy right hand but Kemp sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pouncey looks to score with a jab to the body but Kemp is just out of range.

Pouncey shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kemp manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Kemp working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pouncey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pouncey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Pouncey working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kemp not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pouncey accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Pouncey missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pouncey not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Kemp knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pouncey on the ground.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

It looked like Kemp was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kemp fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pouncey looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Pouncey misses with a hook. Kemp ducked under it nicely.
Kemp blocks a head kick by Pouncey.
We've been told by Kemp's head coaches at Outer Heaven Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

enabling Pouncey to counter with a crisp jab.

Kemp swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Kemp uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pouncey.

Kemp displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pouncey.
Ross Kemp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kelvin Pouncey.

Kemp jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Kemp takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Pouncey closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kemp's guard.

Kemp has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pouncey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kemp moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Pouncey tries to score with a low kick but Kemp moves his leg out of the way.
Pouncey takes a swing at Kemp's ribcage but misses.
Kemp tried to counter with a leg kick but Pouncey avoided it.
Kemp bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Pouncey's head.

Kemp moves out of range of the leg kick from Pouncey.

As Pouncey tries to get set, Kemp tries to push him back and clinch up but Pouncey manages to avoid the attempt.
Kemp connects with a body shot that sends Pouncey's belly button to the back.
Kemp walks into a jab.
Kemp avoids the body shot from Pouncey.
As Pouncey backs away, Kemp returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Kemp avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Kemp tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Pouncey manages to circle out of the way.
Pouncey lands a jab to the head.
Pouncey fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kemp.
Kemp getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Pouncey lands with an overhand left.
Pouncey loads up on a big right hand but Kemp slips the punch.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pouncey, as that shot connected.
Pouncey punishes Kemp's body with a nice straight punch.

Pouncey misses with a body shot.
Kemp ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pouncey moves away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kemp fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Kemp lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Pouncey crumples to the floor! Kemp milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ross Kemp!
A very excited looking Ross Kemp made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
