PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aron Ward (ranked 24657 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Swogger (ranked 7603 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aron Ward!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Evan Swogger!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Dean Styles and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swogger shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ward eats them both and turns towards Swogger to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Aron Ward has been cut.
Ward misses with an attempted mid kick.
Ward throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Swogger counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ward pushes Swogger away with a front kick.
Swogger looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
No joy there for Ward, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jab by Swogger.
Ward could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Swogger avoids the head kick by Ward.
Swogger throws a counter combo.
Ward shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Swogger as he jumps to the side.

Swogger lands a left and a right that send Ward crashing to the mat, dazed. Swogger thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Ward is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Swogger fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ward looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Ward throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
As Ward backs off Swogger throws a huge counter combo but Ward manages to avoid it all.
Ward throws a sloppy head kick
and Swogger counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
