Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Royce Reyes (ranked 3451 p4p, 355 weight class) and Suicide Bunny (ranked 3532 p4p, 360 weight class). Reyes's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Death or Glory. Suicide Bunny has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Royce Reyes's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Royce Reyes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Suicide Bunny!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Reyes.

Bunny fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Reyes, pushing him back against the cage.
Bunny lands with a short shot to the head.
Bunny misses with a short punch on the inside.
Bunny pushes Reyes back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Reyes blocks an uppercut.
Reyes goes for a takedown attempt but Bunny pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Bunny sends Reyes crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Bunny is motioning to the referee to let Reyes up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Reyes is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bunny defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Reyes.
Oh Reyes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Royce Reyes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reyes dives in for a single leg takedown but Bunny sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Reyes seems to have got his legs back now.

Bunny drives through and clinches with Reyes against the cage.
Reyes drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bunny scores with a shoulder strike.
Bunny lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Reyes backwards.

A right handed body shot lands from Bunny.
A nice right hand lands inside from Bunny.

Bunny scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Reyes goes for a takedown attempt but Bunny pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Bunny clinches with his opponent.
Bunny works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Bunny lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Reyes backwards.
Reyes tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bunny smiles and moves away.

Bunny takes the fight into the clinch.
Bunny lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Reyes is trying to drag Bunny to the mat but Bunny just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Bunny lands an uppercut.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Bunny.
Bunny is leaning against Reyes and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Reyes has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bunny is pressed up against the cage. Reyes has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bunny down to the mat. Bunny avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Bunny pushes Reyes up against the cage in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Reyes takes a shot to the head.
A nice left hand lands by Bunny.

Reyes is trying to trip Bunny. He has hold of a leg but Bunny is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Reyes persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Bunny trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Reyes thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Bunny throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bunny can do anything to dispel that myth.

Reyes avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Reyes trying to control but Bunny is working from the bottom.
Bunny trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Bunny striking off his back but it's not causing Reyes any problems.
Reyes trying to control the position from guard on top but Bunny is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Reyes is pushing down on Bunny's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bunny is fighting to maintain full guard but Reyes has managed to sneak the leg through.
Reyes prevents Bunny from improving his position.
Bunny really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reyes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Reyes is trying to work for a kimura but Bunny is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bunny is defending against the submission attempts here by Reyes.
Reyes is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Reyes is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Bunny looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reyes is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Reyes stalling.

Reyes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Bunny flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Reyes in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Bunny tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Reyes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Royce Reyes!
A very excited looking Royce Reyes made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
