Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Riggs (ranked 1938 p4p, 195 weight class) and Rick Bomber (ranked 2644 p4p, 240 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rick Bomber was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ryan Riggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 47 - 35 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rick Bomber!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riggs wants to slow Bomber down by chopping away at his legs.
Bomber bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Riggs's head backwards.


It looks like Ryan Riggs has been cut.
Bomber swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice sprawl there from Bomber as Riggs shoots in.
Ryan Riggs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Riggs fails to land with a series of punches.
Riggs looks to score with a jab to the body but Bomber is just out of range.

Riggs looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Bomber is looking to stand back up but Riggs counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Bomber.

Bomber looks like he's trying to stand up.
Bomber is staying active underneath Riggs, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Riggs working over Bomber with some ground and pound. Bomber looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Riggs takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
We've been hearing that Riggs has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bomber is trying to stand back up but Riggs is controlling him
Riggs wants to take a breather but Bomber is having none of it.
Bomber tries to kick Riggs off but Riggs keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bomber tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Riggs manages to move to mount!
Riggs with shots to the head and body - Bomber looks very uncomfortable down there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Riggs raining down hammerfists from mount.
Riggs prevents Bomber from getting the reversal.
Bomber is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Riggs unloading with bombs!
Riggs postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Bomber badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Riggs around the waist but Riggs pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Riggs is the winner by TKO! Riggs jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Riggs!
