Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hoddy McNeal (ranked 1350 p4p, 143 weight class) and Tj Bidon Dillashaw (ranked 2404 p4p, 214 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hoddy McNeal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tj Bidon Dillashaw!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNeal avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dillashaw misses with a combination
and McNeal counters with a two punch combo.
McNeal slips under a jab from Dillashaw.
McNeal smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Dillashaw missing with a left hand there. McNeal was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dillashaw takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Nice straight punches there by McNeal. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of McNeal.

Dillashaw throws an overhand right that lands on McNeal's shoulder, as McNeal tries to avoid the shot.
It looked like McNeal wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
McNeal on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Dillashaw misses the jab.
An attempted straight right counter from McNeal misses the target.
McNeal waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dillashaw.
Dillashaw looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Dillashaw misses with the combination.
A little feinted left hand from McNeal on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
McNeal scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
A shot to the liver by McNeal. Beautiful body shot.

McNeal lands a nice looking body shot.
McNeal blocks the body kick.
A quick step to the side and McNeal tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dillashaw throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
McNeal throws a looping overhand right but Dillashaw ducks down to avoid it.
Dillashaw is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Nice defenses there by McNeal.
Dillashaw thows a left - swing and a miss!
Dillashaw misses with a hook. McNeal ducked under it nicely.

Dillashaw connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Dillashaw misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Dillashaw is still on wobbly legs! Can McNeal finish him?
Dillashaw throws a looping overhand right but McNeal ducks down to avoid it.
Dillashaw misses with an uppercut. McNeal saw that one coming.
The crowd cheers as McNeal lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dillashaw doesn't seem phased though.

McNeal drops Dillashaw with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Dillashaw looks back up at him and smiles so McNeal waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dillashaw lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Dillashaw throws a front kick aimed at McNeal's knee but McNeal avoids it well.

McNeal lands with a straight right. Dillashaw didn't see that one coming.
McNeal bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

McNeal cracks Dillashaw with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Dillashaw looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can McNeal finish him?
Dillashaw throws a lazy uppercut
and McNeal counters with a huge left! Dillashaw is in big trouble! He's backing up but McNeal isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Dillashaw from any more damage. A dominating finish by McNeal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hoddy McNeal!
A very excited looking Hoddy McNeal made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
