Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Weird Eric (ranked 8155 p4p, 220 weight class) and Lew Rockwell (ranked 7706 p4p, 215 weight class). Eric comes into the arena with Every You, Every Me blaring out of the sound system. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Weird Eric!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lew Rockwell!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eric avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Eric has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

and Eric counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Eric is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Rockwell throws a looping overhand right but Eric ducks down to avoid it.

It looked like Eric was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Rockwell.

Rockwell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Eric counters with a good low kick that Rockwell was not able to check.

Rockwell feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Eric wants to get back to his feet but Rockwell is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
