The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koizumi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jost. That did some damage!

Koizumi manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jost on his heels. He'll look to pass Jost's guard now, I'm sure.
Jost wants to sweep here but Koizumi controlling him for the moment.
Koizumi passes Jost's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Jost knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Koizumi on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Koizumi working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Koizumi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jost with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Koizumi is looking for a kimura but Jost is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Koizumi to get the leverage.
Koizumi drops an elbow to the side of Jost's head.
Koizumi stops Jost from getting back to his feet.
Koizumi takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
