The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Flannerry - just one landing.
Flannerry scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Flannerry ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Anderson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Flannerry is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Anderson with a body shot.

Anderson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Flannerry is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Anderson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Flannerry has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Alexis Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anderson connects with a body shot that sends Flannerry's belly button to the back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Flannerry pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Anderson back to the cage. Flannerry follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
