The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zamora misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Palmer misses with a jab, cross combination.

Zamora moves into the clinch.
Zamora tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Zamora is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Palmer pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Palmer misses with a hook from the clinch.
Palmer fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Zamora lands a left hand that snaps the head of Palmer backwards.

Zamora tries a body shot but Palmer blocks it.

Zamora lands a hook to the side of the head.
Zamora changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Palmer fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Freddie Zamora. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zamora throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Palmer's waist but Palmer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zamora off to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Palmer takes a swing at Zamora's ribcage but misses.
Arnold Palmer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Palmer takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Palmer takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
We've been hearing reports that Zamora has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Zamora has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Zamora takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Zamora thows a huge punch but Palmer dodges it nicely.
Zamora winds up and cracks Palmer with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Palmer is in trouble now - Zamora has advanced to mount!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Palmer takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Zamora has hold of Palmer's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Palmer manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Palmer is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Zamora lands a heavy elbow.
