The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dignam misses with a right hand
and Payne cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Dignam throws an overhand right that lands on Payne's shoulder, as Payne tries to avoid the shot.
It seemed like Payne was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Dignam lands with an overhand left.
Dignam swings for the body but Payne moves out of range.
Nice defenses there by Payne.
A slow jab from Dignam misses its intended target.
Payne throws out a counter right but Dignam avoids it with no problem.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dignam clobbers Payne with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

and Payne counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Dignam! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!
