The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Plutov checks a leg kick.
Dennis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Plutov pinned against the cage. Plutov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dennis tries for a takedown but Plutov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Plutov fails to land with a series of punches.
Plutov lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Dennis fails in his attempt to clinch.

Dennis fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Plutov sprawls well initially but Dennis persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

It looked like Plutov wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Plutov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Dennis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Dennis tries to clinch but Plutov moves out of range.
Dennis sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Dennis closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Plutov's guard.
Dennis has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Plutov is proving hard to escape from.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Plutov holds on and takes a little breather.

Dennis would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Dennis gets to his feet - Plutov follows without any prompting.

Dennis has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Plutov seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Dennis can turn it around.

Dennis finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Plutov's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Dennis falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
