Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seth Sexton (ranked 7689 p4p, 612 weight class) and Brutus Kowalski (ranked 5126 p4p, 546 weight class). Sexton comes to the cage accompanied by I'm too sexy - Right Said Fred. Kowalski has chosen Pantera - Fucking Hostile as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Seth Sexton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brutus Kowalski!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalski throws a low kick, looking for Sexton's leg but Sexton calmly moves out of range.
Kowalski connects with a body shot that sends Sexton's belly button to the back.

Sexton has closed the distance and engaged Kowalski in a clinch.

Kowalski stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Kowalski's coach down at Doherty's Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kowalski's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Sexton gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kowalski regains guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Sexton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kowalski is working away from the top position though.
Sexton has his hands clasped together around Kowalski's back. He's all about the action.
Sexton tries to get to full guard but Kowalski has control of the leg.
Sexton is doing well to control the position and prevent Kowalski from advancing to side control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kowalski throws a body punch but Sexton moves out of range.

Kowalski throws a leg kick which misses Sexton's front leg but catches the back leg as Sexton tries to avoid it.

Kowalski swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Kowalski takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Sexton shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kowalski as he avoids it easily.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Sexton is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kowalski sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Sexton feints and as Kowalski raises his hands in defense, Sexton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kowalski bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sexton's guard.

Kowalski lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Sexton shoots for a takedown but Kowalski saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Brutus Kowalski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Kowalski winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Brutus Kowalski decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
In defeat, Seth Sexton stepped up to the mic, saying 'Naaah, didn't happen. This was just a bad mushroom trip and I'm still undefeated! '.
