PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rhif Un (ranked 1747 p4p, 186 weight class) and Mr Sandman (ranked 2904 p4p, 291 weight class). Sandman comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Enter Sandman kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Un.

It looks like Mr Sandman has been cut.

Un clinches up against the ropes.
Sandman lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Un breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Un clinches.
Un scores with a nice hook to the head.
Sandman lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Sandman tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Un breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sandman misses with a body shot.
Sandman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Un takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sandman swings for the body but Un moves out of range.
Un looks to land a combination but Sandman avoids it well.
Sandman lands a jab to the nose.
Un will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Un takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Un moves into the clinch.
Sandman misses with some punches.

Un's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Un uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sandman.
Un is looking for a counter combo.
Un slips under a jab.
A jab from Sandman does it's job there.
Sandman throws a hook to the side of Un's head but Un sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
As Sandman looks to move away, Un throws a big counter combo but Sandman just gets out of the way.
Un throws a jab when Sandman was well out of range.
Un slips a jab from Sandman.
Sandman works the jab nicely.
Sandman lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Un at a distance.
Sandman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sandman comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

The fight stays on the outside here - Sandman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Un closes the distance and clinches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Un can't find room to land a body shot as Sandman controls the action.
Sandman doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Sandman.
Sandman lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Un to his knees! Sandman keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
