Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Laat Dovah-Kinn (ranked 3229 p4p, 335 weight class) and Junior Iron (ranked 4736 p4p, 438 weight class). Dovah-Kinn comes to the cage accompanied by Disturbed - Immortalized. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Laat Dovah-Kinn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Junior Iron!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dovah-Kinn gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Dovah-Kinn cracks Iron with a nice body shot.
Dovah-Kinn tries a body shot but Iron blocks it.
Dovah-Kinn lands with a right to the head.

Dovah-Kinn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Iron tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Iron misses with a wild combination.
Dovah-Kinn definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Dovah-Kinn throws a nice inside leg kick.
Good work by Dovah-Kinn as he checks the leg kick.
Dovah-Kinn wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Iron takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Dovah-Kinn displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Iron throws out the jab.
Nice cross by Dovah-Kinn.
Iron blocks a leg kick.
Iron keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Iron walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dovah-Kinn throws a shot from downtown. Iron moves away and avoids it.
Junior Iron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Iron jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Dovah-Kinn feints and as Iron raises his hands in defense, Dovah-Kinn changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Iron is trying to keep Dovah-Kinn in close.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dovah-Kinn trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Dovah-Kinn throwing strikes from guard but Iron blocks nicely.

Iron working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dovah-Kinn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dovah-Kinn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dovah-Kinn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dovah-Kinn is trying to get an arm triangle but Iron is defending well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Dovah-Kinn working the body and head with strikes.
Iron being controlled for a moment.

Dovah-Kinn wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Iron, who protects the arm well.

Dovah-Kinn tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dovah-Kinn is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Iron has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dovah-Kinn cracks Iron with a big elbow.
Iron is trying to control Dovah-Kinn's posture but Dovah-Kinn avoids it.
Dovah-Kinn landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Iron is working to avoid the ground and pound but Dovah-Kinn connects with a decent elbow.
Iron is trying to work for a sweep but Dovah-Kinn has mounted him!
Dovah-Kinn landing punches.
Iron tries to lock up and control but Dovah-Kinn gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Iron is trying desperately to improve position.
A big strike lands for Dovah-Kinn! That's really hurt Iron and he's turned his back - Dovah-Kinn keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Dovah-Kinn jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Laat Dovah-Kinn!
