The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan throws a hook but Montana blocks it.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Montana.
Ryan throws a series of punches but Montana moves out of range.
Montana fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
The fighters circling - Montana throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nice body punch from Montana.
Montana misses with a hook.
Montana lands a jab to Ryan's midsection.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ryan looks to land a left hand but Montana moved out of range nicely.
Ryan tries to land a front kick but Montana steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Ryan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Montana tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ryan was well out of range. Poor timing from Montana.
Montana throws a lazy right hand but Ryan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ryan scores with a shot to the body.
Montana tries to land a leg kick but Ryan saw it coming and moves away.
Montana thumps Ryan with a low kick.

and Ryan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Montana throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ryan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Ryan throws a leg kick but Montana sees it coming and moves out of range.
A nice leg kick lands there from Montana.
Montana works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ryan lands a slapping body shot.
Ryan just misses with a punch to the body.
Montana cracks Ryan with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Ryan falls to his knees and Montana doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Leon Montana was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
