PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Juan (ranked 938 p4p, 149 weight class) and Boogie Rollins (ranked 884 p4p, 135 weight class). Rollins comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Fish Fight- King Khan and BBQ Show kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Boogie Rollins!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollins shoots in for a double leg but Juan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Juan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Rollinss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Rollins shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Juan as he avoids it easily.

We've been hearing good reports from Juan's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Juan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rollins throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Juan to regain full guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Boogie Rollins dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Juan throws a lazy right hand but Rollins sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Juan throws an overhand right that drops Rollins like a sack of potatoes! Juan dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
