Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Billy Odom (ranked 24945 p4p, 0 weight class) and Azer Omerika (ranked 5514 p4p, 0 weight class). Azer Omerika has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Odom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Azer Omerika!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Odom shoots in but Omerika avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Omerika fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Odom stuffs the takedown attempt from Omerika. Omerika gets slowly back to his feet.
Odom tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Odom stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Odom wants it to stay on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Omerika closes the distance and clinches.

Odom has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Omerika uses from the top position.
Odom pulls Omerika in close to his closed guard and prevents Omerika from doing any damage or advancing position.

Odom really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Odom has his feet on Omerika's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Odom shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Omerika but Omerika pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Billy Odom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Azer Omerika.

Omerika shoots in looking for a takedown. Odom tries to sprawl out of it but Omerika keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Odom manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Odom tried to counter with a leg kick but Omerika avoided it.
Omerika misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Odom drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Odom lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Odom creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Omerika should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Odom wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Omerika, who protects the arm well.

Omerika is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Odom lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Omerika down.

Omerika is trying to control Odom's posture but Odom avoids it.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Odom is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Omerika looks calm but he's in trouble here. Odom gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Omerika is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Odom lets go of the hold and Omerika can pop his arm back in it's socket.
