Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Django Ripa (ranked 7209 p4p, 224 weight class) and Kronos Gracie (ranked 1489 p4p, 78 weight class). Ripa kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is American Woman. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie dives in and grabs Ripa's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ripa pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out.
Ripa ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Ripa keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Gracie closes the distance looking to clinch
letting Ripa counter with a right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown but Ripa manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gracie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ripa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gracie was well out of range. Poor timing from Ripa.
Ripa lands an overhand right.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ripa punishes Gracie's body with a nice straight punch.

Ripa definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Ripa jabs Gracie right on the nose. Gracie blinks but takes it well.
Gracie throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ripa counters with a crisp right hand that drops Gracie! Ripa lets Gracie back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Gracie is rocked!
That has opened up Kronos Gracie's cut even more.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ripa fakes the body blow, causing Gracie to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Gracie goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

A relieved looking Django Ripa thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
