The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Medeiros dives in and scores a takedown into Perkele's guard.

Perkele is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Medeiros is aware though and is defending well.

Perkele working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Medeiros doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Medeiros manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Perkele will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Perkele has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Medeiros doesn't defend quickly enough and Perkele has managed to lock this one up! Can Medeiros escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Perkele on a fantastic submission victory.
