The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirov slips a jab and a cross from Bud.
Bud misses with a series of wild punches.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kirov checks a leg kick.
Kirov tried to counter with a leg kick but Bud avoided it.
Kirov avoids the head kick by Bud.
Bud throws the kick towards the body but Kirov avoids it.
Bud scores with a push kick.

Kirov instigates a clinch.
Kirov controlling the action here for a moment.
Bud can't break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kirov fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Bud breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bud chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Bud throws a sloppy head kick and Kirov moves out of range easily.
Bud finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
It looked like Kirov was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Bud.

Bud throws a chopping leg kick but Kirov manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Bud tries a head kick but it misses.

Bud drops Kirov with a beautiful combination! Kirov stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bud is looking for the KO!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kirov is standing up over Bud. Bud looks to escape but Kirov dives into side control.

Kirov content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Bud taking a bit of punishment here - Kirov scoring with strikes.
Kirov is looking to take a break and control but Bud is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We've been hearing that Kirov has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Bud is trying to get back to his feet.
Bud is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Bud tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Bud is trying to get back to his feet but Kirov has full control of the position and if anything, Bud has just worked his way into a worse spot.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bud is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Kirov controlling the positon.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ricky Bud dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Kirov shoots in for a double leg but Bud sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Bud lands a big head kick that sends Kirov tumbling to the mat! Bud takes a step backwards and waves Kirov back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Kirov is rocked!

It looks like Kiro Kirov has been cut.
Bud misses with a jab, cross combination.
Oh Kirov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sloppy strikes from Bud. Those never looked like landing.
Kirov thinks about countering with a head kick.
Kirov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Bud has closed the distance and engaged Kirov in a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bud wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kirov seems to have got his legs back now.
Kirov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bud walks away with a smile on his face. Kirov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kiro Kirov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bud throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kirov slips a jab and a cross from Bud.
Kirov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bud is fending him off so far but Kirov persists. Nope, Bud circles away and we're back to standing.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kirov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kiro Kirov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bud thows a leg kick but Kirov checks it

and Kirov counters with a takedown into side control.

Bud sneaks out the side door and pushes Kirov away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bud avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bud misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kirov takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Kirov has a takedown stuffed.
Bud misses with a head kick.
Bud looks to land a combination but Kirov avoids it well.
Bud keeps the fight on the outside.

Bud lands a left and a right that send Kirov crashing to the mat, dazed. Bud thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kirov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bud's waist but Bud gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kirov off to one side.
OH! Kirov has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Bud smells blood and charges in for the finish! Bud unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Kirov sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
