Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jared Meyer (ranked 23265 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malakai Zamora (ranked 5507 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meyer drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

It looks like Jared Meyer has been cut.

Zamora gets the takedown into side control.

A lull in the action here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Meyer shoots in for a double leg but Zamora sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Zamora is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Meyer dives in and grabs Zamora's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zamora pushes down on Meyer's head and hops out.

Zamora shoots in looking for a takedown. Meyer tries to sprawl out of it but Zamora keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Meyer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Meyer shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Zamora manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Zamora seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Zamora is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Zamora has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Zamora breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Zamora changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Meyer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Meyer shoots for a double leg takedown but Zamora sprawls well. He's pushed Meyer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Malakai Zamora comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Zamora has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
