The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Topper Green and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reizawa shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brodzik is trying to defend but Reizawa finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Reizawa wants to control but Brodzik is keeping him busy.
Reizawa winds up and cracks Brodzik with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brodzik can do anything to dispel that myth.

Brodzik really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reizawa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Brodzik prevents any damage by holding on tight.
Reizawa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Reizawa could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Reizawa is landing with some decent strikes but Brodzik is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Brodzik is still in real trouble! Can Reizawa finish him?
Reizawa cracks Brodzik with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
