Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bren Dos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Banlovic Bantom!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Francis DeMontford and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dos closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Dos working the ground and pound but Bantom is defending the strikes.
Bantom wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The strikes coming from Dos are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Bantom is trying to get back to his feet.
Bantom wants to control but Dos postures up.
Bantom is looking to reverse the position.

Dos is trying to get an arm triangle but Bantom is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dos working the head with strikes.
Dos tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Bantom manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bantom is controlling Dos's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Bantom looking for submissions off his back.
Bantom is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dos seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dos stops Bantom from getting back to his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Dos tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bantom doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Dos counters with a two punch combo.

Bantom is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dos's half guard.
Dos pushes Bantom off but Bantom dives into side control.

Bantom looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bantom advances to full mount.
Dos is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Bantom wants to control the pace but Dos is squirming around nicely.
Dos is looking to improve his position but Bantom isn't that keen on the idea.

Bantom controlling the pace for now.
Bantom landing shots from mount.
Bantom wants to take Dos's back but he can't do it this time.

Bantom is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dos is surviving well by controlling Bantom's body position as best he can.
Bantom raining down hammerfists from mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dos manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Dos trying to control but Bantom postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Banlovic Bantom will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Dos fails with a takedown attempt.
Bantom misses with a few strikes there.
Bantom tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dos scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Dos has taken the fight to the clinch.
Dos gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bantom.
Bantom is trying to break the clinch but Dos is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bantom jumps guard.
Dos trying to control but Bantom is working from the bottom.

Bantom looking to control.
Dos controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Dos trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Dos looking to sit in guard and control but Bantom gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Bantom not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bantom's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Bantom postures up.

Dos kicks Bantom off and gets to his feet.

Bantom gets caught flat footed, as Dos shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bantom tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Dos has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Bantom can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dos controls the pace.

Dos gets to his feet. Bantom looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Dos dives in and scores a takedown into Bantom's guard.

Dos decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bantom, up you get!
A swing and a miss from Bantom.
Bantom closes the distance but Dos moves to the side
and Dos counters with a two punch combo.
Dos tries for a takedown but Bantom sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bantom shoots in and drives through. Dos sprawls well.
And Dos counters with a quick kick to the body but Bantom blocks it.
Dos shoots for a double leg takedown but Bantom sprawls well. He's pushed Dos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bren Dos. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dos closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bantom to the mat! Bantom manages to get full guard.
Bantom is trying to control the position but Dos postures up.
Dos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bantom on the ground.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bantom bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dos's guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bantom seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Dos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Dos has a closed guard, preventing Bantom from standing up.
Dos keeping full guard, as Bantom tries to pass.

Bantom thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bren Dos dominated that second round.
That's time! Dos's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Bantom gets caught napping as Dos dives in and scores a takedown. Bantom manages to retain guard.
Bantom trying to control the position.
Dos is looking to advance position but Bantom has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Bantom avoids the attempt from Dos to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bantom postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dos looks a forlorn figure.
BOOM! Bantom connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dos is looking to get to half guard.

Bantom has hold of Dos's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dos manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Bantom prevents Dos from getting the reversal.
BOOM! Bantom connects with a massive shot to the dome!


Dos is rocked!
Banlovic Bantom has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bantom trying to control but Dos is having none of it.
Oh Dos is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bantom seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Dos is holding on tight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dos wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Dos is trying to get back to his feet but Bantom has full control of the position and if anything, Dos has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Bantom has managed to slip his arm under Dos's chin. This could be all over... yep, Dos is tapping out! Submission win for Bantom.
