Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Galen Hicks (ranked 6734 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sack Atanatos (ranked 6929 p4p, 0 weight class). Atanatos has chosen till i die as his entrance music. Galen Hicks has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sack Atanatos!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atanatos throws a low kick but Hicks avoids it.

Hicks can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Atanatos controls the pace.
Hicks will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hicks tries to counter by clinching up but Atanatos breaks away and moves out of range.
Atanatos throws a right hand that Hicks ducks under and follows up with a left that Hicks also avoids with ease.
Atanatos connects with a looping right hand.
Hicks avoids a punch combination nicely.
Atanatos throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hicks.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hicks is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Atanatos has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Atanatos is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hicks really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Atanatos moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Hicks takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Atanatos tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hicks defends well and Atanatos ends up having to push Hicks into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Atanatos tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hicks sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Atanatos somewhat.

Atanatos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Sack Atanatos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Atanatos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
