The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trucks stuffs the takedown attempt from Obuhov. Obuhov gets slowly back to his feet.

Trucks has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Obuhov is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Trucks drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Obuhov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Obuhov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trucks keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Trucks pushes Obuhov off looking to stand but Obuhov dives back in and keeps control.

Obuhov throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Obuhov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Obuhov thows a huge punch but Trucks dodges it nicely.
Obuhov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Obuhov throws a strike but Trucks avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Obuhov throws a strike but Trucks rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Obuhov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Trucks wants to stand but Obuhov has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Obuhov looking for a sweep. Not yet Obuhov, not yet.
Trucks has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Obuhov is proving hard to escape from.

Trucks got a little sloppy there for a moment and Obuhov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Trucks has managed to get both his arms back between Obuhov's legs - danger averted.

Obuhov has his foot on Trucks's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Trucks works his way back into a safe position though.

Obuhov throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Trucks escapes and throws Obuhov's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Obuhov tries to control but Trucks manages to take his back.
Trucks is not going to allow Obuhov to sit and survive in this position.

Despite having Obuhov's back, Trucks says stuff this ground business - let's go for a knockout! Obuhov seems baffled but is happy to be out of the difficult position!
Obuhov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Trucks looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Trucks takes one to the side of the head.
Obuhov moves out of range as Trucks strikes.
Obuhov throws a hook but Trucks avoids it easily.

Oooooh!!! Trucks has knocked Obuhov down with a huge combo! Trucks steps away and waves a wobbly Obuhov back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Anton Obuhov has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Obuhov tries to clinch but Trucks moves out of range.
Trucks walks into a straight right hand from Obuhov.

Obuhov looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Trucks!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Trucks is not content to let Obuhov control the position.

Obuhov is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Trucks looks calm but he's in trouble here. Obuhov gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Trucks is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Obuhov lets go of the hold and Trucks can pop his arm back in it's socket.
