The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mouth has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Mouth manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Slice on his heels. He'll look to pass Slice's guard now, I'm sure.

Slice is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Mouth presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
I was talking to Slice's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Mouth rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Slice moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

A quick step to the side and Slice tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Slice is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mouth.

Mush Mouth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
