Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Titor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roderick Bubeyes !
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bubeyes dives in for a single leg takedown but Titor sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Bubeyes tries to score a power double leg takedown but Titor sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bubeyes somewhat.
Bubeyes moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Bubeyes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Titor's waist but Titor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bubeyes off to one side.
John Titor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roderick Bubeyes .
Bubeyes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Titor was well out of range. Poor timing from Bubeyes .
Titor has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Bubeyes moves in looking to clinch but Titor pushes him off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bubeyes fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bubeyes tries for a takedown but Titor circles away easily
and Titor counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Titor fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bubeyes to the ground. Titor is now in Bubeyes 's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Titor's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Titor distracts Bubeyes with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Titor working some strikes from top position.
Bubeyes is rocked!
Titor loads up on a big left hand. Bubeyes felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Titor looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Bubeyes can't hide his disappointment, as Titor celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Titor!
