Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Deandre Hull!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leron Hawkins!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hawkins closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Hull tries to kick Hawkins off but Hawkins keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Hawkins throwing shots but Hull is blocking nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hawkins escapes and gets back to his feet.

Hawkins dives in and scores a takedown into Hull's guard.
Hull keeping moving, preventing Hawkins from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hawkins missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Hawkins won't allow Hull to get back to his feet.
Hull has control of Hawkins's left arm, preventing Hawkins from doing any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hawkins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hull swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hawkins seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Hull throws a head kick that misses

and Hawkins counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Hull wriggles free and stands up.
Hull misses with a takedown attempt - Hawkins sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hull shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hawkins but Hawkins pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hawkins closes the distance and lands a one-two.


Hull is rocked!


It looks like Deandre Hull has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A thudding body kick lands there by Hawkins!
Oh Hull is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hull is breathing heavily.
Hawkins weaves into range and cracks Hull right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Hull goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Hawkins is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Leron Hawkins!
