Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Disco Kid (ranked 1049 p4p, 57 weight class) and Yeu Fei (ranked 1659 p4p, 88 weight class). Disco Kid could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Yeu Fei's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Disco Kid!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yeu Fei!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Kid. Fei does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fei let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Fei throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Kid counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fei won't be happy with that.

Fei explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Kid looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kid seems to be working for a kimura but Fei defends the submission attempt.
Fei has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kid is working away from the top position though.

Fei felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Kid is trying to control. Fei wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fei regains full guard. Nicely done.
Kid works over Fei with some ground and pound from guard.
Kid has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fei has his foot on Kid's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kid works his way back into a safe position though.

Kid avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kid might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Fei working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kid doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kid manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kid is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fei doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kid.

Fei throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Kid escapes and throws Fei's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Kid tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fei struggling a bit here.
Kid remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Kid closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kid is chipping away with strikes.
Kid is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fei can do to turn this around?
Kid is staying tight to Fei's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Fei is trying to control Kid's posture but Kid avoids it.
Fei takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Kid lands a decent elbow from side control.

Kid is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fei is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fei regains half guard.

Kid tries to pass to full mount but Fei defends it.
Kid content to control rather than advance.
Kid is thwarting Fei's attempts to control the position.
Kid is nestled in close to Fei, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Kid lands strikes from half guard.
Fei makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fei.

Fei isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kid stacks Fei on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kid!

Kid has hold of Fei's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Fei tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kid cranks the arm and Fei screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Fei, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Disco Kid!
Disco Kid retains his bantamweight title!
A relieved looking Disco Kid thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
