Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fireball Kid (ranked 4994 p4p, 471 weight class) and Jamie Stetson (ranked 2074 p4p, 241 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Kid throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kid fails with the takedown.
Stetson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kid works Stetson's body with a nice hook.
Stetson misses with a head kick.
Stetson wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kid stuns Stetson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Stetson fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kid is out of range.
Kid feinted with a counter takedown.
Stetson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Stetson closes the distance and clinches.

Stetson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Stetson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Kid connects with a good right hand that stumbles Stetson. Stetson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Kid tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Stetson smiles and moves away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kid drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kid jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Stetson throws a series of punches but Kid avoids them all with ease.

Stetson's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Stetson duly obliges.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kid tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kid has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kid wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Stetson, who protects the arm well.

Kid goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Stetson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kid's guard! Nice work there by Stetson!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kid enables Stetson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kid manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Stetson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Kid has Stetson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Stetson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Stetson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kid blocks it with crossed arms.

Stetson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Stetson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kid's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kid is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Stetson is aware though and is defending well.

Stetson has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kid to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Stetson is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kid pulls down on the head and he's put Stetson to sleep! This one is all over!
