Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ishiihara Sakuraba (ranked 20743 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baka Vizsla (ranked 22655 p4p, 0 weight class). Vizsla has chosen Bodak Yellow by Cardi B. as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Vizsla throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sakuraba shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sakuraba showed some decent athleticism there.
Sakuraba content to control rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sakuraba prevents Vizsla from improving his position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vizsla can do anything to dispel that myth.
Vizsla is looking to improve his position.
Sakuraba seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sakuraba has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Vizsla is trying to control but Sakuraba passes into side control!

Sakuraba's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Vizsla tries to hold on but Sakuraba pushes him away.

Sakuraba has control of Vizsla's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Vizsla regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Sakuraba seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Vizsla for as long as he can get away with.

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Sakuraba is stinking the place up with his stalling.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Vizsla wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Sakuraba manages to pass to side control.
