Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Pablo Picasso!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Picasso avoids the body shot from Palmer .
Picasso throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Picasso swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Picasso doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Palmer counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Picasso throws a hook but Palmer avoids it easily.
A lazy body kick from Picasso

and Palmer counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Palmer is trying to push Picasso away but Picasso has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Palmer has had enough of the clinch but Picasso keeps him there for the moment.
Picasso keeps control of Palmer as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Palmer wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Palmer blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Picasso is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Picasso breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Palmer keeps the fight on the outside.
Picasso looks to score with a jab to the body but Palmer is just out of range.
Picasso misses with an uppercut
and Palmer counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Palmer throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Picasso fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Palmer manages to avoid it.
Palmer seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Palmer gets the takedown into side control.
Picasso tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Palmer presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Picasso is desperately trying to improve his position but Palmer has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Picasso is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Picasso tries to improve his position but Palmer has taken his back! Palmer has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Picasso tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Palmer pushes Picasso away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Michael Palmer !
