PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Watari Kan (ranked 2107 p4p, 245 weight class) and Nivolumab Opdivo (ranked 1960 p4p, 225 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Opdivo's choice of entrance music: Bristol-Myers Squibb corporate anthem. Nivolumab Opdivo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Watari Kan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nivolumab Opdivo!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kan tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Opdivo misses with the combination.
Opdivo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've been told by Kan's head coaches at Grounders Foundation that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
