The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sullivan has taken the fight to the clinch.
Burch is trying to break the clinch but Sullivan has him pressed against the cage.

Sullivan lands a takedown into guard.
Sullivan controlling from the top position.
Sullivan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Sullivan passes Burch's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Sullivan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Burch sees it coming and defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sullivan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Sullivan is trying to work for a kimura but Burch is defending well.
Burch wants to get back to his feet.
Burch is trying to control but Sullivan manages to pass to mount!
Sullivan won't let Burch get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Burch gets back to half guard.
Sullivan stops Burch from getting back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Let's hope that Sullivan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Sullivan looks to throw a body kick
and Burch counters with a three punch combo that has Sullivan backing up. Sullivan nods at Burch to acknowledge the strikes.

Sullivan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Burch is working an open guard so Sullivan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Sullivan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Oooooh!!! Sullivan has knocked Burch down with a huge combo! Sullivan steps away and waves a wobbly Burch back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Burch is rocked!

It looks like Francis Burch has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sullivan throws an overhand right that has Burch reeling! Sullivan follows up with more punches and Burch is out cold! This one is all over!
