Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miro Bang (ranked 1465 p4p, 225 weight class) and Kenton Okunaba (ranked 1776 p4p, 275 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 22 - 0, fighting out of London, Miro Bang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Kenton Okunaba!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okunaba throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Okunaba throws the left hand but Bang avoids the punch easily.

Bang closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Okunaba trying to land knees to the body.
Okunaba misses with a knee to the head.
Okunaba gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bang.
Bang drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Okunaba stops a takedown attempt from Bang.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miro Bang. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Okunaba throws a knee to the head but misses.
Bang has Okunaba pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Okunaba manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Okunaba throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bang blocks it with crossed arms.
Okunaba lands a good knee to the midsection. Bang won't want to take too many of those.
Okunaba throws a punch but it's blocked by Bang.
A nice right hand lands inside from Okunaba.
Okunaba unloads a knee to the mid-section. Bang lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Bang turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bang manages to end up in side control.

Bang wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Okunaba, who protects the arm well.

Bang is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Okunaba is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Okunaba tries to improve position but can't.

Bang working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Bang wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Okunaba, who protects the arm well.

Okunaba tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bang wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Okunaba takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Bang tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bang has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bang tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bang has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Okunaba wants to control but Bang postures up.
The ground and pound from Bang seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Okunaba stuck in half guard on the bottom here.
Okunaba tries to bench press Bang off him but Bang keeps the position.
Bang in side control lands a decent elbow.
Bang throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Okunaba wants to control but Bang postures up.

Bang cracks Okunaba with an elbow. That is naaassty.

That was a close round but I would say that Miro Bang will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Bang goes for a takedown in the clinch but Okunaba prevents it.
Okunaba has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Bang seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Okunaba can turn it around.
Bang tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Okunaba smiles and moves away.

Okunaba throws a low kick, looking for Bang's leg but Bang calmly moves out of range.

Okunaba might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bang haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
