The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dormier has a takedown stuffed.
Dormier tries for a takedown but Diego sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Diego changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Diego lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Dormier has his takedown stuffed
and Diego counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Caniel Dormier. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Diego cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Caniel Dormier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diego lands with a hook. Dormier tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Dormier looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Diego is fending him off so far but Dormier persists. Nope, Diego circles away and we're back to standing.

Dormier shoots in for a takedown but Diego shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Diego closes the distance and clinches.
A nice right hand lands inside from Diego.
Dormier jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Diego walks away with a smile on his face. Dormier gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Diego punishes Dormier's body with a nice straight punch.

Diego sends Dormier crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Diego is motioning to the referee to let Dormier up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Dormier is rocked!

It looks like Caniel Dormier has been cut.
Diego lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dormier at a distance.
Diego digs a good hook to Dormier's body.
Diego comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Diego fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Dormier to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Dormier looks to clinch but Diego throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Dormier taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
