The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheat tries to clinch up.

Jack shoots in and gets a takedown into Cheat's guard.
Cheat knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jack on the ground.
Cheat is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Jack working some strikes from top position.
Jack is in close to Cheat's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Jack's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Jack trying to control but Cheat is working from the bottom.
Jack cracks Cheat with a solid left hand.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jack working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Cheat has hold of Jack's hands but Jack slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Jack scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Jack passes the guard and advances to mount!

Jack has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jack cracks Cheat with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
