The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James fails in his attempt to clinch.

Wesker is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in James's half guard.

James manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Wesker keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

James is trying to drag Wesker to the mat but Wesker just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

and Wesker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in James's guard.

Wesker seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

James is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Wesker has his hands clasped together but James extends and breaks Wesker's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by James.
