Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brutalis Rhino (ranked 8412 p4p, 594 weight class) and Land Shark (ranked 7952 p4p, 585 weight class). The key to victory for Brutalis Rhino has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brutalis Rhino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Land Shark!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Shark as Rhino shoots in.
Shark with the counter takedown but Rhino avoids it easily.
Rhino throws a head kick but Shark moves out of range.
Shark is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Shark has closed the distance and engaged Rhino in a clinch.
Shark keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rhino's efforts to push away.
Shark wants a takedown but no success here.
Rhino is trying to break the clinch but Shark is controlling him.

Shark turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Shark looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Shark wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rhino keeps working.
Rhino is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Shark asserts his dominance and retains side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shark is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rhino knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Rhino really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Our spies down at at EFL Performance Institute inform us that Shark has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Shark tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rhino knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Rhino knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shark on the ground.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Shark is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Rhino manages to get to full guard.
Shark looking to pass the guard.

Shark avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rhino is looking to sweep but instead, Shark has passed into half guard.

Shark looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Shark wants to pass the guard but Rhino is defending well.

Shark is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rhino is just riding it out for now. Shark eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Rhino is looking to control Shark's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rhino avoid being mounted?
Shark is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Rhino is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Shark pulls his head out easily.
Shark wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rhino keeps working.

Shark is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rhino defends it well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Shark is looking to take a break and control but Rhino is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Shark is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rhino is just riding it out for now. Shark eventually gives up the hold.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Shark is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Land Shark dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Rhino shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Shark eats them both and turns towards Rhino to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Jab, jab by Rhino - just one landing.
Rhino connects with a body shot that sends Shark's belly button to the back.
Rhino cracks Shark with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.
Rhino dips to his left and cracks Shark with an uppercut!


Shark is rocked!
Rhino lands a nice shot to the body.

Shark looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Rhino looking for a guillotine here but Shark defends easily.
Shark wants to control from the top but Rhino keeps moving.
Shark is breathing heavily.

Rhino is looking for a triangle but Shark pushes his legs off easily.

Shark trying to control but Rhino is working from the bottom.
Shark working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Rhino working for a triangle but Shark defends it easily.

Rhino working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shark doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shark manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Rhino has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shark can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Shark passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Rhino!
Rhino is trying to get to the ropes to help him get back to his feet.

Shark wants to finish this one by submission but Rhino is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Shark.

Shark jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rhino manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Rhino is looking for a sweep.

You can see the frustration on Rhino's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Shark tries to move into full mount but can't pass Rhino's legs.
Rhino tries to escape but Shark is in control.

Shark tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Shark has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Rhino is trying to get back to his feet.
Rhino is not content to let Shark control the position.
Rhino is pushing Shark's head away, looking to escape. Shark manages to hold on to the position though.
Rhino is looking for a sweep.

Shark has an Americana. Rhino didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Shark is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Shark hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Land Shark!
