The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lyon closes the distance and clinches up with Riot, looking for a takedown. Lyon pushes Riot against the cage but Riot circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lyon will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Riot misses with the combination.
Riot throws a right and a left that Lyon avoids nicely.
Lyon shoots in but Riot avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Riot appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Jake Riot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jac Lyon.
Riot lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lyon circles away quickly and effectively.
Riot misses with a double jab.
Lyon lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Riot throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Lyon stumbling backwards into the cage! Lyon bounces back off the cage towards Riot, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Riot lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Riot celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
