Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Colt (ranked 3078 p4p, 382 weight class) and Max Handle (ranked 2595 p4p, 340 weight class). Handle comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Right On kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 26 - 33 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Max Handle!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Reed Andrews and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Handle keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Colt misses with a series of wild punches.
Handle uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Colt.
Colt slips under a jab from Handle.
We've been hearing reports that Colt has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Colt throws a wild body kick that Handle sees coming a mile off.
Colt on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Colt throws a jab but it's blocked by Handle.

Handle lands a leg kick that knocks Colt off balance momentarily.
Colt throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Handle counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Colt scores with the left hand. Handle knows he should have avoided that one.
The fighters circling - Colt throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Colt gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Handle will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Colt lands a really nice looking cross but Handle seems unphased.
Handle has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Handle tries to clinch but Colt moves out of range.
Colt thuds his right hand into Handle's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Handle walks into a jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Handle thows a leg kick but Colt checks it
and Colt cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Colt is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Colt uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Handle throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Colt bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Handle's head backwards.


Handle is rocked!

Handle throws a leg kick which misses Colt's front leg but catches the back leg as Colt tries to avoid it.
Handle shoots in for a takedown but Colt shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A punch lands to the side of Colt 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Handle misses with an uppercut.
Handle throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Colt is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Colt throws a hook to the side of Handle's head but Handle sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Colt goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Colt throws a head kick but Handle moves out of range.
Handle throws a leg kick but Colt moved away.
Colt checks a leg kick nicely.
Handle getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Handle thumps Colt with a low kick.
Colt displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Handle throws out the jab.

Handle pushes Colt up against the cage in a clinch.
Colt tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Handle.

Colt misses with a punch to the body.
Handle lands a knee to the body.
Still in the clinch, Colt scores with a nice short uppercut.

Colt goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Handle's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Colt shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Colt uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Handle.
Brian Colt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Colt cracks a nice hook into Handle's ribs.
Colt misses with an attempted mid kick.
Colt shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A big left from Colt misses.
Handle lands an overhand right.
Handle turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Colt scores with a decent looking hook.
Colt bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Handle's head backwards.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A shot to the body from Colt misses
and Handle counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Colt! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!

A very excited looking Max Handle made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
