Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Earl Jeffries (ranked 82 p4p, 14 weight class) and Paddy Bateman (ranked 224 p4p, 34 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paddy Bateman!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jeffries takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Bateman looks to land a right hand but Jeffries moved out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Jeffries on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Bateman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jeffries sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jeffries connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Bateman shoots for a takedown but Jeffries saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A big left from Jeffries misses.
And Bateman tries to counter it with a takedown but Jeffries pushes his down on his head and steps out.

and Bateman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Jeffries knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bateman on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close round but Earl Jeffries did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Earl Jeffries will probably get the nod.

After the fight, Paddy Bateman was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
