The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badass shoots in for a takedown but Minerva shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Badass misses with a hook
and Minerva counters with a good low kick that Badass was not able to check.
Badass misses with a right hand
and Minerva counters with a stiff right hand.
Minerva looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Badass misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Badass shoots for a double leg takedown but Minerva sprawls well. He's pushed Badass's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Badass fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Minerva clinches up against the ropes.
Minerva gets through Badass's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
The referee is keeping an eye on Minerva - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Minerva lands a hook to the side of the head.
Minerva lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Badass backwards.
Badass's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Oh Badass is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Minerva throws a punch but it's blocked by Badass.
Minerva swings wildly with an uppercut but Badass uses good head movement to avoid it.

Badass seems to have got his legs back now.

Minerva is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Badass is keeping busy.
Badass is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Minerva is defending well.
Badass has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Minerva after a bit of a struggle.

Minerva gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Minerva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Minerva wants to pass the guard but Badass is keeping the position.

Minerva passes Badass's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Minerva is working for a kimura but Badass is defending it quite comfortably.

Minerva is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Badass is just riding it out for now. Minerva eventually gives up the hold.
Minerva is trying to control the action in half guard but Badass is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Badass wants to control but Minerva is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Minerva frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Minerva is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Minerva walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Minerva is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Minerva has a couple of punches blocked by Badass.
Minerva working aggressively here.
Minerva tries to land a knee to the head but Badass blocks with his arms.
Minerva misses with a body punch.
Minerva misses with some punches.
Badass drops down looking for an ankle pick but Minerva pulls his leg out and moves away.
Minerva thuds his right hand into Badass's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Minerva rushes Badass and presses him up against the ropes.

Badass tries to pull guard but Minerva holds him up against the ropes and eventually Badass drops back down to his feet.

Minerva has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Badass uses from the top position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Minerva is on top in guard.

Badass fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Minerva avoids it really well and circles away.

Minerva closes the distance and pushes Badass back into the ropes.
Minerva gets through Badass's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Minerva has Badass pressed against the ropes. He pushes Badass back and as he springs towards him off the ropes, Minerva throws a beautiful elbow that sends Badass crashing to the floor! Minerva piles on the pressure with more strikes! Badass is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!

A relieved looking Scott Minerva thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
